Parent-School Cooperation

Parent-School Cooperation

Cooperation between parents and the school is a vital aspect of children’s emotional and social development.

For us at “Karavaki”, cultivating this relationship is front and centre. We develop it, among others, through -parent-teacher meetings (in groups or with the family of each toddler), frequent communication with parents, support of parents whose children are facing developmental and learning progress issues, and organising activities with parent and child participation at school.

Since 2013, our “Parents’ Meeting Rounds” have played a vital role in our efforts to establish meaningful parent-school cooperation. We work together with a Social Worker to plan out the topics to be discussed at each meeting. Among others, topics include a wide range of issues from the developmental course of pre-school children. Our ultimate goal is to keep parents informed and help them manage the many questions that come part and parcel with their role with confidence and knowledge.
